A european coffee journey

It all started in the streets of London in 2015 as founder/owner Mike Walsh discovered true European style coffee being served on the smallest of foot prints. Coffee didn’t need to be served in a giant cafe. It could be enjoyed anywhere. This sparked the inspiration to build coffee carts for live events. Inspired by a European coffee menu offering, Mike sought out mobile espresso as his creative platform. Today, you can book our cart for your next office function, trade show, wedding or special occasion and get all the bells and whistles of a local third wave coffee shop on wheels that comes to you!

2024 - Mike recently visited Mexico City and got some one-on-one time with local roasters and Mexican farmers. It’s truly amazing to be in a place where the coffee is grown (nearby), roasted and brewed all in one area. Mike’s inspiration is fodder for bring more coffee education back to Atlanta in the form of experiences and classes.

Update. We are currently in search of a brick and mortar shop to offer up our Espresso, Coffee and Tea as well as a robust food menu to serve our community and act as our HQ for LiveWire Catering. If you are a property manager or landlord, please contact us today!

We have our eyes set on Decatur in 2025 offering a unique European Style Cafe with a fun espresso and tea menu along with local pastries, focaccia and churros!

Look out for our new warehouse location where we will host cuppings, latte art workshops, pop-up events and pour over demonstrations!

Mike Walsh - Founder & Coffee Lover

Hi. I'm Mike. I grew up in Roswell GA and have always been around coffee. Ask anyone who knows me. I love coffee more than life itself.

My first job at 14 was at Dunkin’ Donuts where I thrived in a high paced environment. Throughout high school and college, I would sell coffee or host pop up coffee nights to raise money for a charity organization. However, the inspiration really began when strolling the streets of London in 2015. I got my coffee everyday from street vendors and got the inspiration to run coffee carts for events, an industry I was already a part of. A trip to Greece to Barista Camp, depended on my love and knowledge of coffee as I learned how to truly dial in the perfect recipe and flavor for every cup.

In 2022, Mike moved to Portland Oregon and opened his brick and mortar European inspired coffee shop, Venster Coffee. We offered a traditional espresso menu that featured items from Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Athens and Vienna along with a simple pastry and breakfast menu.

Now back in his native home of Atlanta in 2024, Mike’s next journey took him to Mexico City to learn the art of roasting coffee. Mike looks to bring this knowledge and passion to your next event!
